Patterns of Love Collection

Details on this collection can be found here

Patterns of Love: Activewear

Patterns of Love is a collection inspired by love and marriage in Africa. The uniqueness of the collection lies within the fact that it has matching garments for both women and men for three occasions: casual, formal, and activewear. African textile design patterns are dispersed in these designs among the women’s and men’s garments, displaying the deep connection of romance and companionship between the couple.

University of Delaware Synergy Fashion Show 2014

Here is my collection that I presented at the 2014 Synergy Fashion Show at the University of Delaware.

Gracing Integrity Look 4

Here is look 4 for the Gracing Integrity collection I made during my senior year at the University of Delaware. This was for my senior collection, a project that all of us apparel design students were required to make during last year at university. This look is an asymmetrical dress made of navy blue and black poplin. It was a requirement that senior collections be sustainable. My collection is sustainable in the fact that I made my looks using 100% cotton fabrics and recycled buttons and epaulets. There are two epaulets, one placed on the left chest, and the other centered at the waist. I did not want to place the epaulets in a typical place as seen on look 2, so I tried something different.
